What would You do?
6/27/08
I was having a conversation with my friends and it came about because someone had left ther wallet at the starbucks and I ran after the guy and gave it to him. He thanked me a million times and said that in this day and age, he couldnt beleive that he actually left without it. So my friends and I was asking each other what would other people have done, of course I returned it when I saw that he left the table and a wallet was there, but would you do the same? Some people would take a look for spare cash because one of my friends said thats what he would have done, so lame. But what if someone dropped an envelope with like $1,000... would you keep it or return it to the owner who is still a good distance away?

I had something similar happen. We ordered pizza one night and somehow I noticed that the pizza guy dropped his cash on the ground. As soon as I saw it, I ran after him. He was so happy that he gave us a free pizza!
I'm NO goodie 2 shoes but it was my first instinct to go after him and it kinda makes me feel good about me.
DH was yelling, "Nooo!" but I hope he was kidding. - At June 29, 2008 7:52 AM, Secola'sSpace said...

Oooooh, good one. I think I would be so tempted to grab the cash and keep going, but I'm a Christian and, ultimately, that would keep me in line and cause me to do the right thing!
I would run down the owner and give him his $$$! - At June 29, 2008 4:03 PM, supermom said...

@nikki- Yeah I know what you mean about the instinct, smae here. It does make you feel good because if that were you, I am sure you would want someone to do the same:)
@secola- Very tempted indeed but like you said, its the right thing
Thanks for the comments:)
