How Long Could You Survive?

If you lost your job today? I know that they say that you must always have at least six months worth of savings just for this kind of emergency but if you lost it today, could you still pay bills and rent/mortgage as if nothing has happened? Scary thought but most of us do not have that kind of money tucked away. Heck, its hard enough paying bills WITH a job. Thats why you should start now! Its so important that we try and save, I know times are hard but saving a little bit here and there will help you in the long run.

Great post! DH and I starting paying ourselves each month. It's not much, but it's automatically deducted before the other bills and put in savings. It is the unexpected stuff that gets us in trouble.
