Where is the Remote?

I was the
remote!.
OMG, I live in a household full of freaking remotes! Every single thing has a remote. Then why cant my kids and my husband find one? My husband was home, decided to watch some tv, hmm, "where is the remote honey?". "I dont know dear, is it not on the coffee table? or where we keep the other remotes?" (I doubt I said it that nice) "No its not, did the kids take it?" "Umm no, I dont think so." Hey honey here is an idea, why not look for it yourself? Or, crazy idea, umm change it from the box (cable)
Let me tell you guys something, growing up in my household, I was the remote! Someone needed the channels changed, I had to do it, I was the youngest. Every single time. Probably not that hard considering there was like only 13 channels, and a couple of other channels on U. You know where you had to turn the knob, whatever. I tell him and my kids this story whenever the remote goes missing. My kids are still trying to figure out what this knob on the tv I keep talking about. *Sigh*

I had the same problem ,I guess we get started and have a hard time stopping bad habits. Of course I'm talking about changing the channels for our loved ones. One day while out on a buying trip, I discovered universal remotes. These guys can be programed to handle up to five different appliances maybe more. Whoever came up with that idea must have been thinking about us.Now we have two remotes . One for upstairs, and one for downstairs.Problem solved.

I know exactly what you mean! I was the remote in my home growing up too!lol and it really wasn't that bad now that I think about it. My 4 year old broke our last remote, so now he is getting a taste of being the remote as well. He knows his numbers already so I just tell him to put it on channel 20 etc. :)
